2020 is just around the corner! It?s time to reflect and be proud of everything we?ve achieved in the past 12 months.?What a year 2019 has been for Chartboost! Looking back, there are two themes that summarize 2019: better tools for programmatic buying, and the development and launch of Helium, our unified auction platform.
Better tools for data-driven advertisers
Early in the year, we launched Flexbid, a set of granular bidding strategies across key dimensions such as publisher, country, device model, and OS. We first gave access to this new feature on the dashboard and right before the summer, we opened up the API access for advertisers, allowing them to scale and add even more bid dimensions. Flexbid has become a critical pillar of many of the top grossing apps that are using our ad network to find the ROAS and volumes they desire. While making our ad network more efficient, we?ve also scaled our programmatic buying efforts. The Chartboost DSP, in closed beta, is actively leveraging the openRTB protocol and our deep user data to help advertisers scale on the Chartboost Exchange, as well as in 3rd party Exchanges. We are very thankful to the advertisers who have trusted our platform, and also to the new ecosystem of supply partners who have been a key part of our DSP growth this year.Last but not least, in 2019 we?ve reinvigorated our fraud mitigation efforts and embraced the supply path optimization initiatives in our industry. By supporting App-Ads.txt, we?ve allowed publishers to increase revenue from programmatic demand sources (especially non-gaming and brands) that only want recognizable and trackable inventory.?
Helium, powering the in-app bidding revolution
Our team has been all hands on deck with the development and launch of Helium, our unified auction platform. We all know that the traditional waterfall model is broken and with the rise of in-app programmatic, more publishers are looking to upgrade their monetization stacks to increase real time competition for their inventory.?We are thrilled to help lead this revolution and contribute with a fair, transparent platform. In 2019, we proved our platform delivered great results to publishers with Facebook, AdColony, Tajoy and Chartboost Exchange as demand partners. We have some exciting announcements about Helium coming up in the first quarter of 2020. Stay tuned!
Our developer community will be our priority in 2020
This year, we?ve been awarded among the top advertising platforms for app developers, by PocketGamer, Appsflyer, Kochava, and others. It feels great when hard work is recognized, but we are aware that none of that would be possible without our developer community. We are honored to work with over 300,000 apps from every corner of the world, created by amazing talent that continuously trusts our technology and team.?We will be participating in the top events in our industry and are planning new initiatives to be closer, share more and yield better results together in 2020. Stay tuned! To all of you: we wish you Happy Holidays and a very successful 2020!?The Chartboost Team
