What is User Segmentation?

User Segmentation is the process of segmenting app users into various groups, based on their behavior and specific demographic information, i.e., age, gender, location, etc.

User segmentation allows app developers to customize the user experience. For example, developers may decide to show fewer ads to paying customers than they do to non-paying ones. Or offer additional perks and rewards to long-standing customers.

Benefits of User Segmentation

Once you begin segmenting your app’s users, you’ll be able to boost engagement, encourage more in-app purchases, and, ultimately, make your app successful. Why wouldn’t you be able to accomplish these things? By providing a better user experience, you’ll encourage non-paying users to spend money on your app and paying customers to remain loyal.
